Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Analyse the quality of strategic, accounting and financial information in the financial statements of listed companies.
2.
Integrate annual report information with relevant theoretical, industry and regulatory knowledge.
3.
Select relevant financial information and utilise it effectively to access a range of financial decisions (e.g. liquidity, valuation and equity analysis).
4.
Explain how fundamentals such as dividends, cash flows, earnings, book and market values are used in the valuation of companies.
5.
Work appropriately with others in order to achieve outputs relevant to finance.
